Backcountry Basics is a small-group, field-based introduction to responsible winter backcountry travel around Asahidake Ropeway. The session is designed to help participants build practical skills, confidence, and good habits before progressing deeper into backcountry environments with appropriate training and experience, or enrolling in a formal avalanche certification course.
